Our life is generally compared with many things. One of those comparisons is to that of a book. Living each day is like turning the pages of the book of life, we don’t know what tomorrow will bring. No two pages are identical and no two persons live the same kind of life. Each person is created by God in a unique way and each person’s life is planned by God with a unique purpose in His mind. King David says, “You created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be” – Psalms 139:13-16
So our life has really been written into a book. Generally people write auto-biographies or biographies of famous people, where they mention the events that happened in their past life. But here, we read of our Creator, writing in a book that is solely meant for us (Hannah has a book written on her! J) that contains each day of our life, before even one of them comes to be! What a great and magnificent God we have! This is the greatest proof that God cares so much about us and that everything is in His hands.
Sometimes when we face tough situations in life, we tend to get discouraged and scared of what will happen to our future and how things will turn out. We need not fear because GOD IS IN CONTROL! Even if bad things do happen, God is able to turn it into good for us, because He is a loving God and His love has been clearly portrayed in the Bible and as we read it and start having a personal relationship with God we begin to know and feel His love for us. We may never be able to understand why God should love us so much, but we will come to a point where in we come to know of the highest form of love in this whole world, to which nothing can compare! To know that love we need to taste and see that the Lord is good! (Psalms 34:8)
Jesus says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3) Yes, His sacrificial love is unending, unfailing, unspeakable, unimaginable, unfathomable, … well, I will never have words enough to tell you of my Savior’s love! And He loves you the same way too! I am what I am because of what He has done for me! Without him I am nothing! Each day I live with this constant assurance of His love for me and that He is always there for me, according to His promise “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6) and God is not a man to break His promises. “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?” (Numbers 23:19)
So let us wait patiently on the Lord as he turns each page in our life, trusting in His love and His promises to carry us through amidst all our troubles, in this life of ours. “In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. ” – Jesus Christ
