We live in uncertain times, we know not what tomorrow holds. Few days back, we did not know if the lockdown would be relaxed or extended? If extended, for how long? Is the place where I live turning into a hot spot? In that case, there will be further restrictions in movements, roads are being closed. My sister is stuck at her friends house in Chennai, we don’t know when we will get to see her next. The borders are closed, buses and trains have been stopped. Not sure when they will be operational and even then, will it be safe to travel?
So many questions on our mind – the when’s, the what’s, the why’s, the how long’s. I don’t have the answers, some try to find it; for me I feel it’s ok not to have the answers. One thing I am certain of, God is in control and He is trustworthy. He said, “ In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]” – John 16:33 AMP.
Only He can grant us peace, amidst the storm. The peace that is beyond understanding, that will calm our hearts and refresh our souls. And we look forward with hope in his unfailing love. And He is with us, through it all, walking alongside. I’d like to end with a song, one of my favourites:
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm
There’s a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone
You’ll never walk alone!
