With the lockdown in place, people are allowed to go out to purchase essentials like milk, vegetables or groceries. Better to get it online though. Many of the apps are functioning but difficult as some items are out of stock or slots for delivery are not available. Never has it ever been difficult to get such items before.

This is an eye opener to what is truly essential in life. There is a clear difference between what we want and what we need. We can manage without our wants but it is tough to manage without our needs. All my fancy clothes are lying in the closet, I don’t go out anymore, so is the case with all my shoes. (I am not saying they are not going to be used but I’m talking about my priorities here.)

There is a verse in Bible that says “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Meaning that what you value the most, you will end up spending your time and effort there. If money is your treasure, then you will be spending your energy in gaining that. If family is your treasure, you will spend quality time with them. So it’s time to reevaluate what my treasure is, what my priorities are. Am I spending time doing the essential things?
