We all have many friends, most of those are just “Hi-Bye” friends and we have a very few close friends with whom we share everything – our joy, our sorrows, our problems, our secrets, our real feelings. When we look back, we realize that we had at least one close friend at one point of time in our lives – school, college or work place. Sometimes people become friends when they have common interests but most often the case is that you are the very opposite of your friend and you wonder how you both managed to be friends for so long! J
Some friendships grow colder with time, frequency of phone calls grows less, we get busy with work and family that we don’t find time to catch up with each other even though we always do cherish the times spent together. There is only one friendship that lasts forever.
The most intimate of all friendships, cos He is the One who knows our hearts, He is always ready to hear us share our feelings with Him. He is happy when we are happy, he not only sympathizes when we are sad, but He feels what we feel, he does not just understand but He FEELS the same pain that we feel because is so close to us – closer than any friend can ever be!
He loves us so much that He has tattooed our picture in His palm; He even knows the number of hairs on our head! He is busy watching each and every minute of our life that He never goes to sleep! He has collected all our tears, yes each and every drop that we have ever shed! He loves us so much that He decided to take up our punishment on Himself and bore the cruelty and shame on the cross so that we may be forgiven and could live with Him forever in Heaven.
He is not far away, in fact He is just a prayer away! If you think your sins stand in the way and is separating you from the Holy God then ASK for forgiveness, “In Jesus Christ there is forgiveness of sins” He shed His precious, sinless blood on the cross so that we may be forgiven. He not only forgives but also forgets! (Isaiah 43:25)
If you have not yet made friends with Him, please make sure that you do, spend time with Him, get to know Him more, even now He is standing at the door knocking (Rev 3:20) Wont you let Him in?
