    The love that any mother has towards her son/daughter is considered as the purest form of love on Earth. It is true that a mother has a greater bonding towards her children because she shared the first 9 months of her kid’s life together, sharing her food, carrying the kid wherever she went and to say nothing about the pain of separation.  She is the one who always has a soft corner in her heart about us. No matter what the world might say, she seems to have that faith in us that makes her tell “He/She will turn out good one day”. She tries to search for that one good thing in us amidst all our faults. Even though at times we might fight, she is ready to reconcile with us, even if the fault is ours. She might sound over-protective at times but it’s all because of her love – to her we are always a small kid!

    It always feels good to know that someone loves us no matter what our status is, no matter what our qualification is, no matter whether we are good-looking or not, no matter whether we are talented or not,… (you can keep on adding) So what does God say about a mother’s love? “Can a mother forget her baby and have no compassion on the child she has borne? “(Is. 49:15a) He knows that a mother’s love for her child is strong. She just can’t stop loving her child because it is HER child. The same is true with God’s love for HIS child! If a mother’s love for a child can be called as “great”, then God’s love for His child is “The greatest”! God goes on to add to His word, “Though she (your mother) may forget, I will not forget you!”(Isa 49:15b) What a great promise of love! Even though our mothers might forget us our Lord Almighty who created the mighty heavens and all things of the Earth, who calls each of the stars by its name says “Even if your mother forgets you, I won’t!”  My God’s love is greater than my mother’s, in fact it is greater than any other’s!
